I teach a traditional Japanese style of Reiki with an emphasis on learning to form and increase your connection to spiritual energy, learning and applying the Reiki principles, and learning the elements of healing yourself and others. Traditional Japanese Reiki seeks to recreate as closely as possible what Reiki Founder Mikao Usui taught, strives to approach Reiki from a culturally Japanese perspective, and focuses on healing the mind/spirit first so that the body becomes healthy naturally. If you are interested in learning to connect with and use Reiki for healing and spiritual growth, this class is for you!

Reiki Level 1: Shoden

Prerequisite: It is recommended that you attend a Reiki talk with me or an open Reiki Shares or Reiki Healing Circle with me. Schedule can be found at the Denver Reiki Co-op.

Learn to connect to the Reiki energy to heal yourself and others. Learn the Reiki precepts or guiding principles, Reiki energetic meditation, and the hand positions. Receive the initiations into the first degree of Reiki. Practice self-healing and performing treatments on others. Learn the history of Reiki. Establish your daily self-practice routine. Learn to connect to your personal energy source. Learn group healing. Shoden means "first teachings." I teach Usui Reiki Ryôhô Traditional Japanese Reiki through the Frans Stiene/International House of Reiki lineage. Includes certificate and Level 1 handbook.

Support and follow-up in your practice is offered through the Denver Reiki Co-op monthly open Reiki Shares group and the monthly Reiki Techniques group. Both these groups are offered on a donation basis and are to provide community with other Reiki practitioners and an opportunity to practice the healing and spiritual practices of Reiki. Also, I'll let you know about other Reiki circles that focus on Reiki as a spiritual practice. You will enjoy many opportunities to practice and share Reiki energy! And of course I'm always available for questions and support.

Where: Institute for Spiritual Advancement, 4176 E Florida Avenue, Denver, CO 80222

Reiki Level 2 is for those Reiki practitioners who are interested in deepening their connection to the Reiki energy and/or who wish to work professionally as a Reiki practitioner, or add Reiki to their holistic practice.

I teach Usui Reiki Ryôhô Traditional Japanese Reiki which is based on the five pillars of the system of Reiki: the precepts, hands-on healing, meditations and techniques, the symbols and mantras, and attunements and reiju (the spiritual blessing). Learn more about reiju on my blog.

In this class you'll learn the traditional Japanese meanings of the symbols and how the symbols relate to the three haras (the energetic system of the body). You'll experience jumon chanting, a Japanese form of mantra meditation. You'll also learn a traditional Japanese technique for connecting with your intuition during your healing sessions. Not to mention learning seven different techniques for distance healing (although you might choose not to use any of them once you have the experience of being beyond time and space, in the place of unity, where distance is an illusion!). There is lots of hands-on healing, meditation practice, and time for questions, discussions and fun.

Reiki Level 2: Okuden

Prerequisite: Level 1 Reiki in any lineage.

Become a professional level Reiki Practitioner. Learn three Reiki symbols, the Reiki mantras for meditation, distance healing, and receive the initiations into the second level of Reiki. Practice performing treatments on others. Renew your motivation and inspiration towards your daily practice. Okuden means "hidden teachings." I teach Usui Reiki Ryôhô Traditional Japanese Reiki through the Frans Stiene/International House of Reiki lineage. Includes certificate and Level 2 handbook.
